UNIQUE WEDDING SUIT OUTFITS FOR
GETTING MARRIED IN WEST TEXAS

One of the easiest ways to show off your personality and style on your wedding day is through your outfits. Whether you want to go formal or casual, hike to your ceremony or get married at a venue, your wedding clothes tell a story and contribute to the flow and feel of your day.

When getting married in West Texas, you may feel inspired by the cowboy culture and western style—or maybe you already wear those styles yourself! Either way, I’ve put together five unique wedding suit outfits that would look gorgeous in any West Texas location. Let’s dive in.

5 Western-Inspired Wedding Suits

01 - The Perfect Brunch-Style Outfit with a touch of Western

Kicking off our list is a stunning and timeless olive suit from Indochino that’s perfect for autumn, winter, and spring weddings out in West Texas. Paired with a simple pocket square and pearl snap ivory shirt, this suit would be gorgeous for an intimate wedding out in Big Bend. Bringing in a touch of western is a gorgeous sterling silver handcrafted bolo tie from Banana Republic x Hampui. They have a few different options but I love how this blue stone complements the floral pattern of the pocket square. Finishing off the outfit is a shoe that reminds me of huaraches — the Mohinder’s Solid City Slipper. This classic leather mule gives this outfit a more urban feel, so I’d recommend bringing in more of that Southwest style in your jewelry and pair this fit with chunky silver cuffs and rings.

02 - John Dutton-Inspired CLASSIC, ALL-BLACK Wedding OUTFIT

Next up, we have a classic black wedding suit with a western twist. Staying on theme—but adding a little more visual intrigue than a plain black button up—is this Rockmount Men’s Vintage Western Shirt. For the shoes for this wedding outfit, we’ve got a more traditional cowboy black boot. I love the subtle stitching in the Ranch Road Cowboy Boots — it’s a timeless boot that can definitely get a lot of use long past your wedding day. Since this outfit is a bit simpler, I wanted to bring in some texture so the fabrics don’t all blend together by pairing this look with a monochromatic floral tie. Finally, to complete the look, this Stetson Felt Cowboy hat will have you feeling like a million bucks.

03 - A Classic Spring Suit for West Texas

For more of a spring-season look, this light blue suit has you covered. I particularly love this color suit for sprawling desert locations that have landscape colors with warm tones like reds, yellows, and browns. Paired with black details such as this silver and black bolo tie from Urban Outfitters, it has a sleek, western feel that works great for an elopement or intimate wedding in West Texas. Instead of a classic cowboy boot, I’ve paired this suit with a modern, zippered black boot from Tecova. For the shirt, I wanted an option that would be able to stand alone on a hot spring day if you decided to take off your suit jacket. The black stitching on this Rockmount men’s shirt makes it a great choice. Veering a little away from a traditional western cowboy hat, for this outfit I went with a fedora style felt hat from Lucchese.

04 - Summer-Weather Western Inspired Wedding Outfit

This look is one of my favorites. Nothing says classic and western quite like this brown suit from Indochino paired with these gorgeous Tecova boots in the color “Cafe Goat.” For accessories, I’d recommend a Picture Jasper bolo tie with gold metal details. Switching things up, I decided to offer two options for the shirts of this outfit. The short sleeve shirt is a great option for shoulder seasons in the desert when the afternoons are hot but the evenings are cool. For the long-sleeve option, we’ve got one of Howler Bros most popular embroidered shirts that looks as good on its own as it does with the suit jacket. Bringing the final western touch to this Big Bend wedding outfit is the Stetson Skyline Cowboy Hat in color Sahara. The tonal aspects of this outfit make it a dreamy western outfit that will look gorgeous in any location — whether you are saying your vows at the top of the Lost Mine Trail or at the Calera Chapel.

05 - Edgy Western-Inspired Wedding Suit Outfit

Rounding out our list of Western-Inspired Wedding Outfits, we’ve got an edgy, modern look complete with western details. This camel suit would be stunning for an autumn wedding in West Texas and stand out really nicely against the browns and reds of the desert rock. Because I’m a sucker for embroidered western shirts, I’ve gone with another Rockmount western button-up for this outfit, this time in a creamy white. For shoes, these brown lace-up Lucchese’s allow you to walk confidently across the desert but still keep a more sleek and modern style. Originally, I really wanted to do this suit with the Men’s White Sands boot, but I think the boot colors may be a little too close to the colors of the suit itself. For the accessories, I wanted items that would bring a little visual interest to the outfit but not distract too much from the details in the shirt. This chocolate Cowboy hat from Stetson was an instant love (and now I want to buy it for myself). Completing the look—and frankly, the main event of this outfit— is a real scorpion bolo tie. Such a stunning detail and something you’ll want to find excuses to wear again and again.

BONUS TIPS: Western outfit ideas for your wedding party

If your wedding party is wearing suits and you want to find a way to create a small visual difference between their outfits and yours, here are three things you can do to create an aesthetic variation but maintain your overall style:

1) If you’re wearing a classic tie, have them wear bolo ties; likewise, if you’re wearing a bolo, have them wear a classic tie. It’s subtle and creates a small visual difference without being too disruptive! Plus the matching bolo ties could make for a great gift for your crew.

2) If you want to have a more classic cowboy look, they could match your suit jacket but—instead of suit pants—they could wear a dark wash denim jean.

3) If you want to stay matching in your outfits, you could switch things up with your cowboy hats. Have your crew match in one style/color and you can stand out with yours being different than the rest. If you go this route, another fun touch could be picking out a different pocket square for each person in your wedding party to add another subtle difference.
